What you write always gives a glimpse of what you think and what you feel and this is what reflects your personality and your inner being. Hence developing your writing skills is also an integral part of personality development.

Writing and Personality Development Writing is important in all aspects of our lives; be it writing assignments, letters, exam papers, mails, or anything else, writing is a skill that is not just useful but also an indication of your personality. One of the major areas where your writing matters a lot is your CV (curriculum vitae) or your resume. Your writing here will tell your employer about the type of personality you are. While making your resume or your CV make sure that there are no grammatical errors, sentences are short and crisp, information should be brief and accurate and the writing should be clear and unambiguous.

The ability to write clearly is also necessary at workplaces and organizations so that you can put forth your ideas and present them clearly. You also need good writing skills to write official mails to your bosses and even your colleagues. Even in your personal life, the way you write your mails to your friends reflects your personality. However, if you are not good at your writing, the good news is that you can pay attention and develop this skill.

To write well you need to read a lot so that you can become familiar to the language and learn ably. Read newspapers, magazines, literature, or even articles on the net to understand the nuance of the language. Now try and write essays, short stories, features, or anything that you feel like so that you feel comfortable with the art of writing. While doing so make sure that you use short sentences so that it is simple to comprehend and pleasant to read. Read aloud what you have written to get a sense how does the language sound. If you know any language professional get your writing checked or approved in case of any grammatical errors or sentence formation. Slowly but steadily you will become more and more comfortable with writing and writing quite well.

Many personality development courses have creative writing as a part of their curriculum. This involves indulging in expressing your thoughts, feeling, and emotions in words. This process helps in understanding oneself in a better way. Once you can write what you feel and what you think, there will be clarity in your actions and you will be equipped to solve your own problems. In fact many people use writing as a means to liberate and attain peace. Writing is thus important to develop your personality so that you can become an individual who can communicate clearly not just with others but also with ones own body, soul and mind.
