Motivation and Confidence
Motivation can be developed and engulfed by several means. Defined by various scholars motivational techniques help us to improve in a way that nothing else can. We need these techniques to strive that one pushing quotient in ourselves. Penned down here are some motivational techniques that must be adopted for a successful and positive life.
Start with writing down your accomplishment feelings. By this, it means that it’s important for all of us to write down what we want to achieve, because as they say when in writing its easier for anyone to follow it or strive to attain it. In terms of physical activities or others, writing down our goal makes one clear and focused. These feeling can be summed up as feeling healthier, making a productive day and feeling happier and pushing oneself. This always works.
Use a visionboard. These have been proven to be successful in motivating people to do things. To make it simple, a visionboard is a collection of images that inspire you to do the things you want to do. A visionboard acts as the best form of motivation driver rather than the intention or manifestation side of the law of attraction. Either put pictures of the one you get aspired from or group some pictures together and put them in a place that you get to see everyday.
Then write down your reasons for anything that you desire to attain or anything that you are motivated to get. Give yourselves good reasons to do what you are doing so that the love for it never dies. You should also have others hold you accountable for certain things. Tell people what you are doing so that if by chance you fail in doing that, then others can hold you accountable for it. You will feel ashamed and humiliated for letting others down and you will try your level best automatically.
It’s also very important to keep taking breaks in between. No, if you think that it will slow you down and that you will lose momentum. Your break need not be for a whole day, it can simply be for 30 minutes or whatever time you think is suitable. Refresh your mind, do simple things in your break.
It’s also helpful in setting false time constraints. You might wonder why, but you know that if you are subconsciously aware that a work requires only ten minutes and if you give yourself 20 minutes then you will waste the initial time before plunging for the work. Motivate yourself enough to become happy.

The drive is a constant one and is almost every time assaulted by negative thoughts and anxiety about the future. It’s not uncommon to face doubt and depression. But something that keeps one going is the ability to keep moving forward.
We have to understand our thoughts and the relation they share with our emotions to able to stay motivated. It’s of utmost importance to understand how to nurture motivating thoughts, neutralize negative ones and to focus on the task at hand. Thinking about future is necessary but of present is of no less value.
We often lose motivation because of reasons like lack of confidence in oneself, lack of clear focus and lack of proper direction. These three things when combined together become lethal for the motivation quotient that one has. For motivating yourself you have to keep track of all three things and overcome the disabilities that it creates in the mind.
You can motivate yourself firstly by growing confidence in yourself. Forget your past failures, bad breaks and personal weaknesses that dominate your mind. Never become jealous of your competitors, instead try laddering up the scale. You should always avoid making excuses for why you can’t succeed. Focus should always be on gratitude. Set aside time to focus on everything positive in your life. Make a proper mental list of your strengths, past successes and present advantages. We often tend to take our strengths for granted and dwell on our failures but instead make way for positivity in life. This will inadvertently rejuvenate your confidence and get you motivated so as to build on to your current success.
Fear based thinking will take you nowhere and if you dwell on this then you have no escape. Make your life a goal oriented one. Once you define a goal, you automatically focus your energy on that. Fear nothing and before it gets on to your head try planning out something that can evade that situation. That way, it makes you feel in control and motivates you in doles. Also, your brain atleast has something to do instead of lazing out and fearing defeat.
Motivate yourself by giving your raw thoughts a direction. Your plans and strategies are of no use unless you give them a sense of direction. Identify the activities that lead to success. For every goal, there are activities that pay off and those that don’t. Make a list of all such things. Do all this and you can motivate yourself to wonder and amazement of yourself.

You may have the best talents or acquired the best skills but if you do not have motivation, you will not reach far. Motivation is the driver which drives you to do what you are doing. When you are motivated you want to achieve what you have set for yourself. Motivation along with enthusiasm and energy moves us forward in life. There are external and internal factors that motivates one to accomplish a goal and keep going.
So, now how do you stay motivated enough so that your car does not stop midway? There are conceptualized means of doing the right thing. Firstly, visualize. This is a very powerful and easy way to keep yourself motivated. Many coaches across the globe use this visualization technique to keep the players motivated all the time. You just need to do it just to see for yourself achieving the goals that you have set and that will definitely keep you motivated for a long time. Imagine yourself in that realm that you desire yourself to be in and trust me the day won’t be far. It will really drive you to achieve more and more.
Also associate pain not achieving goals because that way you know the repercussions of not having gained something. Apart from giving pleasure, the goals should pinch you when you don’t get them. Tell people about it so that you always feel bad when you fail in attaining them. The fact that you don’t have to let them down will always make you go ahead. It could make you feel so embarrassed and make you feel guilty. Motivation is needed in your life to drive yourself forward.

There are universally defined four basic stages of motivation. When motivating yourself or others you generally have to go through these four to attain motivation and to stay in that phase.
Stage One
The first type of motivation is based on an emotional feeling. The emotion that we are referring to could be of a positive or negative nature. It is something which kick-starts our desire. When you read someone’s success story or something that you are passionate about it fuels your mind. Also there are times when people get suddenly motivated on hearing some bad news. Both the positive and negative types are very temporary. The initial burst of energy vanishes and is not sustained by the inspiration or wake up call.
Stage Two
This is another type of motivation, something that already exists within you. You can be motivated to watch some show or do something randomly. When we are motivated to produce negative actions, there is always a reason behind it. Proper communication is always better in such cases. Be mindful of where you point your motivation. It’s very powerful. You must start creating awareness of what motivates you to make wrongful decisions for your health and well being. Consciously recognizing your ‘triggers’ will help you to focus your motivation towards healthier goals.
Stage Three
Stage three goes into effect when you dig deep and try to find the true meaning behind the initial flame of your desire. Make a list of your resources that you have like the journals, books, recipes or whatever that you have then apply your emotional resourcefulness to get to the core. Combine the emotion with the resource for a powerfully fuelled motivation.
Stage Four
What replenishes motivation is what comes in stage four. You have to lead an example of yourself to others. When you live your truth, you become a sought-after volunteer with knowledge, and skills to be shared. Motivating others will continue to ignite your drive and instigate a renewal of goals and achievements of your own.
There is very important link between all four stages and it must not be ignored. Your knowledge and emotional drive must be gelled together all the time so as to clutch both and drive out the motivation factor.

Confidence is a larger concept which involves having confidence in oneself and much more. It has other elements attached to it. But self confidence is purely person-based. It tells the difference between feeling unstoppable and feeling scared out of your wits. Your perception of yourself has an enormous impact on how others perceive you. Perception is reality, so the more self confidence you have, the more likely it is that you will succeed in your life.
Although many of the factors affecting self confidence are beyond your control, there are a number of things you can consciously do to build self confidence. You could do certain things that are listed below to boost up your self confidence. You should dress sharp. Clothes don’t make you anything but it certainly helps you to feel better about yourself. You feel good and optimistic when you dress right. Also if you feel energetic it shows in your walk. So if you walk fast, it’s a good sign.
Things like maintaining a good posture when sitting also tells a story about the person. People with slumped shoulders and lethargic movements display a lack of self confidence. They aren’t enthusiastic about what they’re doing and they don’t consider themselves important. By practicing good posture, you’ll automatically feel more confident. Also, one of the best ways to build confidence is by listening to a motivational speech. Unfortunately, opportunities to listen to a great speaker are few and far between. You can fill this need by creating a personal commercial that is by writing some good things about yourself. You should also have gratitude. When you focus too much on what you want, the mind creates reasons why you can’t have it.
You must also compliment other people. When we think negatively about ourselves, we often project that feeling on to others in the form of insults and gossip. To break this cycle of negativity, get in the habit of praising other people. Try sitting at the front row of a class, group of people, offices or other place. Most people prefer the back because they’re afraid of being noticed. This reflects a lack of self confidence. During group discussions many people never speak up because they’re afraid that people will judge them for saying something stupid. This fear isn’t really justified. Self confidence can be very well being developed.
